أتنقّل بين التصميم والفن والتنسيق الفني، وأبحث في الثقافة والذاكرة والمكان، وفي الطرق التي تتجسّد بها بصريًا

I work across design, art and curation, exploring culture, memory, place and the ways they become visual.

خطوط المدينة
City Lettering

Ongoing series
Across Morocco, craftsmen have long made their own visual language. Welders, masons, tile makers and shopkeepers have shaped letters by hand, often without formal training in calligraphy or typography.

These signs are as much a record of craftsmanship as they are of language. Their irregular forms, proportions and compositions reveal a freedom that is increasingly disappearing as digital typefaces replace hand-made lettering.

This series documents these vernacular signs before they disappear, looking at the ingenuity held within them and the endless possibilities they offer for contemporary type and letterform creation.

ملحون
Melhoun

Ongoing series
Melhoun reworks the visual language of the North African Quranic tablet, traditionally used by children to learn scripture and Maghrebi calligraphy.

The tablet placed sacred text at its centre, with ornament around it. Here, that hierarchy is reversed. Architecture and ornament take the centre, while verses from Melhoun poetry move to the edges.

The poems come from a centuries-old oral tradition rooted in Tafilalet and carried across the Maghreb. They have travelled through generations, places and musical forms, continuing to live long after the moment in which they were first written.

The series brings this poetry back into a visual form, treating the tablet not as a religious object, but as a space where memory, architecture, language and cultural identity can meet.
