أتنقّل بين التصميم والفن والتنسيق الفني، وأبحث في الثقافة والذاكرة والمكان، وفي الطرق التي تتجسّد بها بصريًا

I work across design, art and curation, exploring culture, memory, place and the ways they become visual.

INFO
Abdellah Aboulhamid (b. 1990, Errachidia, Morocco) is an artist, curator and graphic designer. His practice has grown out of his movement through the Arab world and his connection to its cultures, languages and histories.

Since 2009, when he first exhibited at the Shabablek Visual Arts Festival in Damascus, he has lived and worked across different parts of the region, including Tunisia, Jordan and Egypt. This movement has shaped the way he sees the Arab world, not as a collection of separate places, but as a geography connected by language, shared memories, cultural heritage and a constantly changing present.

This connection also runs through his graphic design practice. Over the past fifteen years, he has worked across visual identity, editorial design, campaigns and cultural projects, with a particular interest in Arabic typography, vernacular lettering and the visual languages found in everyday life across the region.
His artistic work moves between analog photography and graphic arts. He often starts from things that are close to him: places, memories, language, fragments of everyday life and the traces that cultures leave behind.

Curating became another way for him to explore these questions and bring them to a wider audience. He is the founder of the YASALAM artist collective, through which he has developed exhibitions including Art Prints from North Africa, the Levant & the Gulf (2023), Echoes of Sand & Stone (2024), Allah 1 (2024), BILLARD (2025), and What We Witness, We Carry (2026). The last two were presented during the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in Marrakech.

Across design, art and curation, Aboulhamid has built his own path around a culture and geography he feels deeply connected to. Each practice gives him a different way to engage with it, whether through making, designing or bringing other voices together.
